Biutiful

A struggling father in Barcelona, working as a middleman for Chinese immigrants involved in illegal activities and communicating with the dead, faces a series of hardships including terminal cancer, guilt over an unsuccessful trafficking attempt, abandonment by a caregiver, and eventually dies, leaving a ring for his daughter and reuniting with his deceased father. Biutiful is a 2011 Spanish-language Drama Romance film starring Javier Bardem, Luo Jin, Maricel Lvarez, Hanaa Bouchaib, Guillermo Estrella, Diaryatou Daff and Jesus Puchol. Televisi de Catalunya in association with Televisi n Espa ola, Cha Cha Cha Films and Focus Features International. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Alejandro Gonz Lez I Rritu, Jon Kilik, Fernando Bovaira, Ann Ruark and Sandra Hermida. Biutiful is written by Alejandro González Iñárritu, Nicolás Giacobone and Armando Bo and it is directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu and Alejandro Gonz Lez I Rritu. LD Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the film. Biutiful was released on 5th May 2011 and takes a screen time of 147 minutes. Biutiful was made on a budget of $35 million and at the box office it grossed only $24 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Alejandro Gonz lez I rritu, Armando B and Nicol s Giacobone. Cinematography was done by Rodrigo Prieto and editing by Stephen Mirrione. The music was composed by Gustavo Santaolalla.
