Azhagi

A veterinarian named Shanmugam reunites with his former classmate, Dhanam, who is living in poverty, and hires her as a maid, causing tension and jealousy in his current marriage, leading to a series of events that ultimately result in Shanmugam adopting Dhanams son while continuing to search for her. Azhagi is a 2002 Indian Tamil-language Drama Romance movie featuring Nandita Das, Vivek, R Parthiban, Devayani Rajakumaran, Sayaji Shinde, Vadivelu and Loose Mohan. Uthaya Geetha Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Udhaya Geetha. The motion picture is written and directed by Thangar Bachan and Thangar Bachchan. Uthaya Geetha Productions acquired the distribution rights for the film. Azhagi was released on 14th January 2002 and takes a screen time of 155 minutes. Cinematography was done by Thangar Bachchan and editing by B. Lenin and V. T. Vijayan. The music was composed by National Award winner Ilaiyaraaja. At the 2003 South Filmfare Awards It won an award for Best Film.
