In a small California town, Ethan, an agoraphobic heroin addict, hides his addiction from his poker buddies and his landlord while his brother, the sheriff, seeks help from a priest to save him, but his salvation ultimately comes from the companionship and understanding of his young neighbor, Georgia, who wants to escape her abusive father.
