The motion picture is written and directed by Satyajit Ray. Artificial Eye acquired the distribution rights for the film. Agantuk was released on 26th August 1992 and takes a screen time of 120 minutes. The screenplay for the movie was written by Satyajit Ray. Cinematography was done by Barun Raha and editing by Dulal Dutta. The music was composed by Berlin International Film Festival winner Satyajit Ray. At the 1992 National Film Awards It won 2 awards including: Best Film and Best Direction.
