A man in debt inherits only a 1949 Buick and rosebushes from his estranged fathers estate, but connects with his long-lost autistic savant brother and makes a plan to win money by counting cards. Ranima is a 1987 American English-language Drama movie featuring Dustin Hoffman, Tom Cruise, Valeria Golino, Ajitesh Bannerjee, Dipankar Dey, Mrinal Mukherjee and Rajani Sharma. Guber-Peters Company in association with Star Partners II and Ltd. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Mark Johnson. The movie is directed by Barry Levinson. MGM/UA Communications Co. acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Ranima was released on 1st January 1987 and takes a screen time of 134 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Ranima was made on a budget of $25 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $354 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Barry Morrow and Ronald Bass. Cinematography was done by John Seale and editing by Stu Linder. The music was composed by Hans Zimmer.
