Abhagini

Abhagini is a novel about a young girl who endures mistreatment, but still remains determined to win the hearts of her new family, highlighting issues of poverty, gender inequality, and familial relationships while reinforcing the notion that hope and optimism can lead to a brighter future. Abhagini is a 1991 Indian Bengali-language Drama Family film starring Mohan Joshi, Priya Barde, Soumitra Chatterjee, Kali Banerjee, Sabitri Chatterjee, Anup Kumar and Antara Sinha. Poornima Enterprises was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Anand Gaikwad. Abhagini is written by Anjan Choudhury and Digbijoy Chowdhury and it is directed by Bablu Samaddar and Deepak Sawakhande. Sri Vajreshwari Combines acquired the distribution rights for the film. Abhagini was released on 2nd August 1991. The screenplay for the movie was written by Hemant Edlabadkar. Cinematography was done by Gourang shah and editing by Faisal Mahadik and Imran Mahadik. The music was composed by Shreerang Aaras.
