The Thing

A team in Antarctica discovers an alien spacecraft and an alien body, but realize that the alien can copy and assimilate its victims, leading to paranoia and uncertainty about who among the team is truly human. The Thing is a 2011 English-language Thriller Mystery motion picture featuring Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Joel Edgerton, Adewale Akinnuoye-agbaje, Ulrich Thomsen, Eric Christian Olsen, Trond Espen Seim and Michael Brown. The movie is inspired from Who Goes There? 1938 Astounding magazine by John W. Campbell. Strike Entertainment in association with Morgan Creek Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Eric Newman and Marc Abraham. The Thing is written by Eric Heisserer and John W. Campbell Jr. and it is directed by Matthijs Van Heijningen Jr and Matthijs Van Heijningen Jr. Universal Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The Thing was released on 13th October 2011 and takes a screen time of 103 minutes. The Thing was made on a budget of $38 million and at the box office it grossed only $31 million. Cinematography was done by Michel Abramowicz and editing by Julian Clarke and Peter Boyle. The music was composed by Marco Beltrami.
