Kristofer Hivju (born December 7, 1978) is a Norwegian-English-American film actor, producer, and writer. He is best known for playing the role of Tormund Giantsbane in the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones. In 2004, he graduated from the Danish subdivision of the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (GITIS) in Aarhus. In 2015, Wyndham Hotel Group signed Hivju to serve as "Wyndham Rewards Wyzard" for its launch of a new loyalty program. The loyalty campaign was conceived and produced in partnership with People Ideas & Culture's Group Company CY&N by PI&C.
