The Phantom Planet

A crew sent to investigate a disappeared spacecraft on the verge of a mission to Mars encounters meteor showers which damage their spaceship, causing them to get stranded on an asteroid where they meet small humanoids and discover a planet being attacked by Solarites. The Phantom Planet is a 1961 American English-language Action Adventure movie featuring Dean Fredericks, Coleen Gray, Anthony Dexter, Francis X. Bushman, Richard Weber, Al Jarvis and Angelique Pettyjohn. Four Crown Productions Inc. was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Fred Gebhardt. The Phantom Planet is written by Terrence Malick and directed by Terrence Malick and William Marshall. American International Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. The Phantom Planet was released on 13th December 1961 and takes a screen time of 90 minutes. The screenplay for the movie was written by William Telaak, Fred De Gorter and Fred Gebhardt. Cinematography was done by Elwood J. Nicholson and editing by Hugo Grimaldi. The music was composed by Leith Stevens.
