A former scientist and a doctoral candidate embark on an expedition to find a missing amplifier, but accidentally fall into a time warp where they team up with an apeman, encounter prehistoric creatures, defeat villains, close the portal, and find fame and success, while a baby Sleestak hatches on a television set. Land of the Lost is a 2009 American English-language Adventure Comedy film starring Will Ferrell, Danny Mcbride, Anna Friel, Jorma Taccone, John Boylan, Matt Lauer and Samantha Kelly. The movie is based on Land of the Lost by Sid & Marty Krofft Allan Foshko and David Gerrold. Relativity Media in association with Sid & Marty Krofft Pictures and Mosaic Media Group. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Sid & Marty Krofft and Jimmy Miller. Land of the Lost is written by Chris Henchy, Dennis Mcnicholas, Sid Krofft and Marty Krofft and it is directed by Brad Silberling. Universal Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. Land of the Lost was released on 16th December 2009 and takes a screen time of 102 minutes. Land of the Lost was made on a budget of $100 million and at the box office it grossed only $68 million.
