A man tries to find his family amidst a chaos caused by a pulse transmitted through mobile networks, turning cell phone users into killers, while encountering groups of survivors and facing mysterious signals emitted by phoners. Cell is a 2016 American English-language Action Drama motion picture featuring John Cusack, Samuel L. Jackson, Isabelle Fuhrman, Owen Teague, Clark Sarullo, Erin Elizabeth Burns and Jermaine Holt. The movie is inspired from Cell by Stephen King. Benaroya Pictures in association with International Film Trust, 120dB Films, Cargo Entertainment and The Genre Company. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Michael Benaroya, Richard Saperstein, Brian Witten and Shara Kay. Cell is written by Stephen King and Adam Alleca and it is directed by Tod Williams. Saban Films acquired the distribution rights for the film. Cell was released on 7th July 2016 and takes a screen time of 98 minutes. Cell was made on a budget of $4 million and at the box office it grossed only $1 million.
