The Edge of Democracy is a cautionary documentary that explores the intertwined personal and political aspects of Brazilian history, chronicling the rise and fall of former Presidents Lula da Silva and Dilma Rousseff and shedding light on the challenges and fragility of democracy when power struggles and corruption come into play. The Edge of Democracy is a 2019 Portuguese-language Documentary History film starring Dilma Rousseff, Michel Temer, Eduardo Cunha, Luiz In Cio Lula Da Silva, Luiz Inácio Lula Da Silva, Jair Bolsonaro and Renata Lo Prete. Busca Vida Filmes was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Shane Boris, Petra Costa, Joanna Natasegara and Tiago Pavan. The Edge of Democracy is written by Petra Costa, Carol Pires, David Barker and Moara Passoni and it is directed by Petra Costa. Netflix acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. The Edge of Democracy was released on 19th June 2019 and takes a screen time of 121 minutes. Cinematography was done by Jo o Atala. The music was composed by Vitor Ara Jo along with Rodrigo Le O, Gilberto Monte and Lucas Santtana.
