Samy, a young man from Senegal, desperately searches for employment and tries to win over Nadia, a supermarket employee, by proclaiming that he would climb Mount Everest out of love for her, leading him to embark on a quest for funding despite his lack of experience, gaining support from the community and concern from his mother. The Climb is a 2017 French-language Comedy motion picture starring Ahmed Sylla, Alice Bela Di, Diarra Kilpatrick, Alysha Umphress, Jocko Sims, Robert Gossett and Deborah Chenault-green. The movie is inspired from Un tocard sur le toit du monde by Nadir Dendoune. The Climb was Produced by Laurence Lascary. The Climb is written by Ludovic Bernard, Nadir Dendoune and Olivier Ducray and it is directed by Ludovic Bernard. Mars Distribution acquired the distribution rights for the film. The Climb was released on 10th November 2017 and takes a screen time of 103 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. The Climb was made on a budget of $6 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $8 million. Cinematography was done by Yannick Ressigeac and editing by Romain Rioult. The music was composed by Lucien Papalu.
