In order to wipe out the Gaulish village by any means necessary, Caesar plans to absorb the villagers into Roman culture by having an estate built next to the village to start a new Roman colony. The movie is inspired from Asterix: The Mansions of the Gods by Ren Goscinny and Albert Uderzo. Belvision in association with Grid Animation and M6 Films. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Philippe Bony and Thomas Valentin. Astérix: Le domaine des dieux is written by René Goscinny, Albert Uderzo, Alexandre Astier, Louis Clichy, Jean-rémi François and Philip Lazebnik and it is directed by Louis Clichy and Alexandre Astier. SND Films acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Astérix: Le domaine des dieux was released on 12th March 2015 and takes a screen time of 85 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Astérix: Le domaine des dieux was made on a budget of €31 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $51 million. Editing was done by Soline Guyonneau.
