In a captivating childrens anime adventure, a young boy and a mysterious girl named Sheeta are pursued by dangerous groups while they search for clues about Sheetas identity, leading them to a remarkable floating castle that holds the secrets of a lost civilization. Castle in the Sky is a 1986 Japanese Japanese-language Animation Adventure movie featuring Mayumi Tanaka, Keiko Yokozawa, Kotoe Hatsui, Minori Terada, Anna Paquin, James Van Der Beek and Shinya Ôtaki. Studio Ghibli was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Isao Takahata. The motion picture is written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki. Toei Company acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Castle in the Sky was released on 2nd August 1986 and takes a screen time of 124 minutes. Castle in the Sky was made on a budget of ¥500 million and at the box office it grossed only $16 million. Cinematography was done by Hirokata Takahashi and editing by Takeshi Seyama and Yoshihiro Kasahara. The music was composed by Joe Hisaishi.
