Recluse Smith (Sam Neill) is drawn into a revolutionary struggle between leftist guerillas and the New Zealand government. Implicated in a murder and framed as a revolutionary conspirator, Smith tries to avoid violence while caught between warring sides. Sleeping Dogs is written by Ian Mune and Arthur Baysting and it is directed by Roger Donaldson. Satori acquired the distribution rights for the film. Sleeping Dogs was released on 13th July 1978 and takes a screen time of 107 minutes. Cinematography was done by Michael Seresin and editing by Ian John.
