Lorna Drake arrives from England to take over the ranch. Although she and Hoppy argue most of the time she takes a liking for Hoppy, angering her fiance Ronald. This enables Scar to enlist Ronald s help in his plan to kill Hoppy. But when Hoppy foils that plan a forest fire develops endangering Lorna. Written by Maurice VanAuken Partners of the Plains is a 1938 American English-language Western movie featuring William Boyd, Russell Hayden, Harvey Clark, Gwen Gaze, Hilda Plowright, John Warburton and Bud Mcclure. The movie is inspired from The Man from Bar-20: A Story of the Cow-Country 1918 novel by Clarence E. Mulford. Paramount Pictures was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Harry Sherman. The movie is directed by Lesley Selander. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. Partners of the Plains was released on 14th January 1938 and takes a screen time of 70 minutes. The screenplay for the movie was written by Harrison Jacobs. Cinematography was done by Russell Harlan and editing by Robert B. Warwick Jr.
