Krishnakant, known as Kittu, falls in love with famous actress Mallika and takes drastic measures to protect her from her controlling family, leading to a police and media frenzy surrounding her abduction. Mast was Produced by Bharat S Shah and Ram Gopal Varma. Mast is written by Vinod Ranganathan and Ramesh Khatkar and it is directed by Ram Gopal Varma. Mast was released on 15th October 1999 and takes a screen time of 153 min.. The Film was successful at box office. Mast was made on a budget of ₹12 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹20 crore. Cinematography was done by Piyush Shah and editing by Chandan Arora and Ashok Honda. The music was composed by Sandeep Chowta.
