Manika

A milkmaid named Manika encounters Lord Jagannath and his brother Balabhadra during their journey to Kanchi, and after the deities drink from her supplies, they gift her a golden ring to be presented to the king of Kalinga, resulting in her eventual devotion to Lord Jagannath. Manika is a 1986 Indian Odia-language Drama film starring Bijay Mohanty, Tandra Roy, Gurudatta Samantsinhar, Gaddi, Premanjan, Gita Datta and Jairam Samal. Rupa International was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Yogendra Mahapatra. Manika is written by Premanjan Mohanty and directed by R. Asrar. Manika was released on 1st January 1986 and takes a screen time of 135 minutes. Cinematography was done by Nagraj and editing by Madhavan. The music was composed by Upendra Kumar along with Lyrics: Narayana Prasad Singh.
