Dasharatham

Rajiv, an alcoholic, forms a bond with his friends child and decides to have a child of his own through a surrogate, but his plans are disrupted when the surrogates wife becomes attached to the baby. Dasharatham is a 1989 Indian Malayalam-language Comedy Drama motion picture featuring Mohanlal Viswanathan, Murali Pillai, Karamana Janardanan Nair, Nedumudi Venu, Kaviyoor Ponnamma, Sukumaran and Rekha Mallick. Saga Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Saga Appachan. Dasharatham is written by Ambazhathil Karunakaran Lohithadas and A. K. Lohithadas and it is directed by Sibi Malayil. Saga Films acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Dasharatham was released on 19th October 1989 and takes a screen time of 154 minutes. Cinematography was done by Venu and editing by L. Bhoominathan. The music was composed by Johnson. At the 1990 South Filmfare Awards It won an award for Best Actress (Rekha).
