A murder mystery unfolds at a burlesque theatre in New York, putting popular performer Dixie Daisy and other employees under suspicion until the killer is eventually revealed. Lady of Burlesque is a 1943 American English-language Comedy Mystery motion picture starring Barbara Stanwyck, Michael O shea, Iris Adrian, J. Edward Bromberg, Gloria Dickson, Victoria Faust and Dallas Worth. The movie is inspired from The G-String Murders 1941 novel by Gypsy Rose Lee. Lady of Burlesque was Produced by Hunt Stromberg. Lady of Burlesque is written by James Gunn and directed by William A. Wellman. United Artists acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Lady of Burlesque was released on 1st May 1943 and takes a screen time of 91 minutes. The motion picture made a box office gross of $1 million. Cinematography was done by Robert De Grasse and editing by James E. Newcom. The music was composed by Arthur Lange.
