Ferdinand, a peaceful and flower-loving bull, faces the threat of being sent to the slaughterhouse but escapes with the help of new animal friends and eventually becomes the first bull to survive a bullfight, promoting themes of compassion, non-violence and acceptance of oneself. Ferdinand is a 2017 American English-language Animation Adventure motion picture featuring John Cena, Kate Mckinnon, Jack Gore, Jet Jurgensmeyer, Nile Diaz, Colin H. Murphy and Ana Patricia González. The movie is inspired from The Story of Ferdinand by Munro Leaf Robert Lawson. Blue Sky Studios in association with 20th Century Fox Animation. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Bruce Anderson, John Davis, Lori Forte and Lisa Marie Stetler. Ferdinand is written by Munro Leaf, Robert Lawson, Ron Burch, David Kidd, Don Rhymer, Robert L. Baird, Tim Federle and Brad Copeland and it is directed by Carlos Saldanha. 20th Century Fox acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Ferdinand was released on 21st December 2017 and takes a screen time of 108 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Ferdinand was made on a budget of $111 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $296 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Robert L. Baird, Tim Federle and Brad Copeland.
