A wealthy final-year student named Rajiv helps his family friends shy daughter Krithika settle into their house and school, but falls in love with a freshman named Pragathi, leading to a complicated series of events where Rajiv takes care of a sick Krithika who also falls in love with him, but Rajiv is too shy to express his feelings for Pragathi until the end of college when he confesses his love to her, breaking Krithikas heart, and he eventually returns from a job in Singapore with a promotion and plans to go to the US for a project, but his parents want him to get married and set him up with Pragathi, whom he rejects until she reveals her changed self and apologizes, leading Rajiv to decide to marry her instead, leaving Krithika heartbroken, but it is eventually revealed that Krithika loves Rajiv and Pragathi makes a sacrifice.
