Inspired by the modern classic, Wings of Desire, City involves an angel (Cage) who is spotted by a doctor in an operating room. Franz plays Cage s buddy who somehow knows a lot about angels. City of Angels is a 1998 American English-language Drama Fantasy movie featuring Nicolas Cage, Meg Ryan, Dennis Franz, Andre Braugher, Colm Feore, Robin Bartlett and Jimi Wheeler. The movie is inspired from Wings of Desire by Wim Wenders Peter Handke Richard Reitinger. Regency Enterprises in association with Atlas Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Charles Roven and Dawn Steel. City of Angels is written by Wim Wenders, Peter Handke, Richard Reitinger and Dana Stevens and it is directed by Brad Silberling. Warner Bros. Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. City of Angels was released on 10th April 1998 and takes a screen time of 114 minutes. City of Angels was made on a budget of $55 million and at the box office it grossed only $0 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Dana Stevens. Cinematography was done by John Seale and editing by Lynzee Klingman. The music was composed by Gabriel Yared.
