Beauty and the Bestie

A struggling photographer is recruited by her spy friend to pretend to be a kidnapped beauty pageant contestant, leading to a dangerous situation involving terrorists and a helicopter chase, but ultimately saving the abducted contestant and reuniting with her family, setting the stage for a sequel. ABS-CBN Film Productions in association with Inc. and Viva Films. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Charo Santos-concio, Malou N. Santos and Vic Del Rosario Jr. The movie is directed by Christophe Gans and Wenn V. Deramas. Star Cinema acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Beauty and the Bestie was released on 26th February 2019 and takes a screen time of 119 minutes. The film made a box office gross of ₱529 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Mel Mendoza-Del Rosario. Cinematography was done by Elmer Despa and editing by Marya Ignacio. The music was composed by Vincent De Jesus.
