A nurse plays a recording of Babs retelling their past to Belle, including Babs falling in love with Belle, Belle rejecting him, and their eventual reconciliation and marriage after an accident occurs. Past Tense is a 2014 Filipino-language Comedy Romance motion picture featuring Ai-ai Delas Alas, Kim Chiu, Xian Lim, Ai-ai De Las Alas, Daniel Matsunaga, Melai Cantiveros and Rein Gutierrez. The movie is based on An Original Story by Mel Mendoza-del Rosario and Artemio Abad. ABS-CBN Film Productions in association with Inc. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Charo Santos-concio and Malou N. Santos. Past Tense is written by Melissa Mae Chua, Kookai Labayen, Vanessa R. Valdez, Artemio Abad, Mel Mendoza-del Rosario and Katherine Labayen and it is directed by Mae Czarina Cruz and Mae Czarina Cruz-alviar. Star Cinema acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Past Tense was released on 26th November 2014 and takes a screen time of 121 minutes. The movie made a box office gross of ₱45 million. Cinematography was done by Rommel Sales and editing by Marya Ignacio. The music was composed by Cesar Francis Concio.
