In a small Texas town, intelligent and omnivorous bats created through genetic modification cause chaos and death, ultimately leading a team of researchers to find a solution to stop them before they kill all humans. Bats is a 1999 American English-language Horror Sci-Fi motion picture starring Lou Diamond Phillips, Dina Meyer, Carlos Jacott, Bob Gunton, Leon Robinson, David Mcconnell and Grady Justice. Columbia Pictures in association with Destination Films. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Bradley Jenkel and Louise Rosner. Bats is written by John Logan and directed by Louis Morneau. Sony Pictures Releasing acquired the distribution rights for the film. Bats was released on 21st September 2000 and takes a screen time of 91 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Bats was made on a budget of $5 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $10 million. Cinematography was done by George Mooradian and editing by Glenn Garland. The music was composed by Graeme Revell.

      Precious few Cap City residents are likely to flock to the multiplex to catch what is essentially a bat oriented remake of Hitchcocks The Birds, done with ham handed solemnity and all the subtle nuance of a gushing jugular.Granted, the bat/vampire crossover audience might find something here, but only, I think, if theyre tremendously bored and Nightman isnt on the WB that night.
