A former army man returns to his disappointing hometown, where he becomes captivated by a mischievous young girl named Indu and ultimately falls in love with her, learning to embrace love and forgiveness as their relationship develops and showcasing the strength of their love amidst challenges and the importance of accepting ones past, forgiving others, and finding happiness unexpectedly. Udyanapalakan is a 1996 Indian Malayalam-language Drama Romance film starring Mammootty, Rekha Mohan, Nedumudi Venu, Oduvil Unnikrishnan, Kalabhavan Mani, Kaveri Muralidharan and Ravi Vallathol. Seven Arts was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) G. P. Vijayakumar. Udyanapalakan is written by Lohithadas and directed by Harish and Hari Kumar. Seven Arts Release acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Udyanapalakan was released on 21st December 1996. Cinematography was done by Venu and editing by G. Murali.
