The downfall of the Poovulla Kovilakom, a once prestigious Brahmin family, is triggered by the incompetence of Ravi, the eldest brother, leading to debts and the exploitation of their land, while Aniyan Thampuran, the younger brother, struggles with family affairs and eventually takes his own life, leaving his wife Karthika mourning his death and vowing to stay connected to him.
