In a future where the Sun threatens to destroy Earth, the United Earth Government plans to move the planet using nuclear fusion engines while shutting down the Digital Life Project, but terrorist attacks and radiation complications arise before successfully propelling Earth towards another star system and towards its next destination, Jupiter. The Swan is a 2023 Chinese Mandarin-language Comedy movie featuring Andy Lau, Wu Jing, Li Xuejian, Sha Yi, Ning Li, Wang Zhi and Asa Jennings. The movie is inspired from The Wandering Earth by Liu Cixin. The Swan was Produced by Liu Cixin and Gong Ge er. The movie is directed by Frant Gwo. China Film Group Corporation acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The Swan was released on 28th September 2023 and takes a screen time of 173 minutes. The motion picture made a box office gross of $604 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Frant Gwo and Gong Ge er. Cinematography was done by Michael Liu and editing by Ye Ruchang and Yan Tingting. The music was composed by Roc Chen.
