The Wandering Earth

In the year 2058, as the Earth faces destruction from the Sun, a father and son are separated, but reunite years later to join an emergency mission to save the planet by restarting an Earth Engine and successfully divert the collision with Jupiter, leading to the ultimate salvation of Earth. The Wandering Earth is a 2019 Chinese Mandarin-language Drama Sci-Fi motion picture starring Qu Chuxiao, Li Guangjie, Ng Man-tat, Zhao Jinmai, Wu Jing, Qu Jingjing and Ewan Chung. The movie is based on The Wandering Earth by Liu Cixin. China Film Group Corporation was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Gong Geer and Gong Ge er. The Wandering Earth is written by Gong Ge er, Yan Dongxu, Frant Gwo, Ye Junce, Yang Zhixue, Wu Yi and Ye Ruchang and it is directed by Frant Gwo. China Film Group Corporation acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. The Wandering Earth was released on 30th April 2019 and takes a screen time of 125 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. The Wandering Earth was made on a budget of $50 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $700 million. Cinematography was done by Michael Liu and editing by Cheung Ka-fai. The music was composed by Roc Chen along with Liu Tao.
