The film depicts the real-life events of Nick Leeson, an employee of Barings Bank who becomes a successful trader but conceals massive losses, leading to the banks bankruptcy, his capture, and eventual imprisonment. Rogue Trader is a 1999 English-language Crime Drama motion picture starring Ewan Mcgregor, Anna Friel, Cristian Solimeno, Lorna Pegler, David Fahm, Tim Mcinnerny and Chris R. Wright. The movie is inspired from Rogue Trader: How I Brought Down Barings Bank and Shook the Financial World by Nick Leeson Edward Whitley. Rogue Trader was Produced by Janette Day, James Dearden and Paul Raphael. The motion picture is written and directed by James Dearden. Path Distribution acquired the distribution rights for the film. Rogue Trader was released on 5th August 1999 and takes a screen time of 101 minutes. Rogue Trader was made on a budget of $12 million and at the box office it grossed only £0 million. Cinematography was done by Jean-Fran ois Robin and editing by Catherine Creed. The music was composed by Richard Hartley.
