A Russian Mafia leader sets up a bank in London for money laundering, but when an oligarch is killed, a vacationing man befriends a Russian who exposes corrupt British politicians; they give the evidence to MI6, leading to the discovery of a meeting between the Mafia leader and a corrupt politician, and ultimately, the Russians family receives asylum while the Russian is killed, but leaves behind a secret message with the corrupt individuals names. The movie is based on Our Kind of Traitor by John le Carr. Film4 in association with The Ink Factory, Potboiler Productions and StudioCanal. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Simon Cornwell, Stephen Cornwell and Gail Egan. Our Kind of Traitor is written by Hossein Amini and directed by Susanna White. Lionsgate acquired the distribution rights for the film. Our Kind of Traitor was released on 7th July 2016 and takes a screen time of 107 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Our Kind of Traitor was made on a budget of $4 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $10 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Hossein Amini.
