Phillauri

Phillauri is a romantic comedy with a supernatural twist where a young man returning to India must marry a tree before he can marry his girlfriend, but is haunted by the spirit of a woman who had lived in that tree and gradually reveals her tragic love story. Phillauri is a 2017 Indian Hindi-language Comedy Drama movie featuring Anushka Sharma, Diljit Dosanjh, Suraj Sharma, Mehreen Pirzada, Yulian Shchukin, Manav Vij and Dalai. Fox Star Studios in association with Clean Slate Films. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Anushka Sharma, Karnesh Sharma, Karnesh Ssharma and Fox Star Studios. Phillauri is written by Anvita Dutt and Anvita Dutt Guptan and it is directed by Anshai Lal. Fox Star Studios acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Phillauri was released on 23rd March 2017 and takes a screen time of 131 minutes. Phillauri was made on a budget of ₹29 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹25 crore. Cinematography was done by Vishal Sinha and editing by Rameshwar S. Bhagat. The music was composed by Jasleen Royal along with Shashwat Sachdev and Sameer Uddin.
