A young girl named Lachchi gets married to Kishan, but when he leaves for a long business trip, a ghost takes on Kishans form to be with Lachchi, creating confusion and a love triangle between them. Paheli is a 2005 Indian Hindi-language Fantasy Romance movie featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Juhi Chawla, Anupam Kher, Amitabh Bachchan, Sunil Shetty and Ajay Sharma. The movie is based on Duvidha by Vijayadan Detha. Red Chillies Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Gauri Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. Paheli is written by Vijayadan Detha, Sandhya Gokhale and Amol Palekar and it is directed by Amol Palekar. Eros International acquired the distribution rights for the film. Paheli was released on 24th June 2005 and takes a screen time of 141 minutes. Paheli was made on a budget of ₹14 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹12 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Sandhya Gokhale. Cinematography was done by Ravi K. Chandran and editing by Amitabh Shukla and Steven H. Bernard. The music was composed by M.m. Kreem along with Aadesh Shrivastava.
