Madras was made on a budget of ₹15 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹55 crore. The music was composed by Santhosh Narayanan. At the 2015 South Filmfare Awards It won 2 awards including: Best Supporting Actress (Riythvika) and Best Male Playback Singer.
