Lava

In rural Kerala, two brothers take different paths - one joins a bandit group to seek justice for their parents murder, while the other becomes a police officer and falls in love with the daughter of the landlord responsible for their familys tragedy, leading to a conflict between loyalty and justice. GP Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) G. P. Balan. Lava is written by S. L. Puram Sadanandan and directed by Hariharan. GP Films acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Lava was released on 19th February 1980. Lava was made on a budget of ₹3 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹2 crore.
