Kayam

A struggling woman named Thamara, tired of being exploited by dishonest men, meets a compassionate fisherman named Choonda who offers her kindness and hope, leading her to leave her old life behind and embark on a journey with him where they face challenges and find solace in each other, ultimately healing Thamaras wounds and creating a sense of family and belonging while building a hopeful future together. Kayam is a 1982 Indian Malayalam-language Drama film starring Jagathy Sreekumar, Cochin Haneefa, Vijayan, Cochin Hanifa, Anjali Naidu, Rathidevi and Sukumari Bhimsingh. Bhavana Arts was the production house involved in the project. Kayam is written by Balagopal and directed by P. K. Joseph. Bhavana Arts acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Kayam was released on 27th May 1982. The screenplay for the movie was written by Balagopal. Cinematography was done by Ramakrishnan and editing by K. Sankunni. The music was composed by M. K. Arjunan.
