Kannan meets a girl with gold anklets, Gayathri, at a music college and after some misunderstandings and obstacles they end up dating, with their families finally approving their love. Jodi is a 1999 Indian Tamil-language Romance Musical movie featuring Simran, Vijayakumar, Nassar, Shakti Chidambaram, Prashanth Thiagarajan, Trisha Krishnan and Manager Cheena. Soni Orient was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Sunanda Murali Manohar and Murali Manohar. The motion picture is written and directed by Praveen Gandhi. Jodi was released on 9th September 1999 and takes a screen time of 161 minutes. Cinematography was done by Arthur A. Wilson and editing by M. N. Raja. The music was composed by Ar Rahman along with A. R. Rahman.
