I Love America

A French filmmaker moves to Los Angeles and stays with her friend who owns a drag queen bar, and after a trip back to Paris for her mothers funeral, she starts working on a new screenplay and decides to pursue casual sex with the help of her friend, but encounters a bad experience and faces age-related complications in a potential relationship until she reconnects with someone on her birthday, while her friend also struggles with finding a fulfilling relationship, all while the film includes flashbacks to her childhood and her thoughts on love and relationships.
