A man named Ed is chosen for a reality TV show called Ed TV, initially a failure, but becomes popular when he gets involved with his brothers girlfriend and later a model, causing strain in his relationship with the girlfriend, until he decides to end the show by exposing a secret about the producers, reuniting with the girlfriend in the process. Edtv is a 1999 American English-language Comedy Drama movie featuring Matthew Mcconaughey, Jenna Elfman, Woody Harrelson, Ellen Degeneres, Sally Kirkland, Martin Landau and Paul Sinacore. Imagine Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Ron Howard and Brian Grazer. Edtv is written by Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel and it is directed by Ron Howard. Universal Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Edtv was released on 20th May 1999 and takes a screen time of 123 minutes. Edtv was made on a budget of $80 million and at the box office it grossed only $35 million. Cinematography was done by John Schwartzman and editing by Daniel P. Hanley and Mike Hill. The music was composed by Randy Edelman along with Bon Jovi.
