Dodsworth is a 1936 English-language Drama Romance movie written by Sinclair Lewis, Sidney Howard and Robert Wyler. The movie is directed by William Wyler and produced by Samuel Goldwyn and Merritt Hulburd under the banner of Samuel Goldwyn Productions. A retired auto manufacturer and his wife take a long-planned European vacation only to find that they want very different things from life. Dodsworth stars Walter Huston, Ruth Chatterton, Paul Lukas, Mary Astor, David Niven, Gregory Gaye and William Wyler. The movie is based on Dodsworth 1934 play by Sidney Howard Dodsworth 1929 novel by Sinclair Lewis. The music was composed by Alfred Newman. Cinematography was done by Rudolph Mat and editing by Daniel Mandell. The motion picture has a running time of 101 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. The motion picture made a box office gross of $1 million. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by United Artists.
