Ardhanaari

The story follows the journey of ManjulaVinayan, a transgender person in Kerala, as they face familial disapproval and societal discrimination while striving to find self-acceptance, highlighting the need for understanding and acceptance of the transgender community and promoting inclusivity in society. Ardhanaari is a 2013 Indian Malayalam-language Drama motion picture starring Jijosh Jose, Mahalakshmi, Jose Pala, Thilakan, Sai Kumar, Irshad Abdu and Sethu Sivanandan. MG Sound & Frames Company was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Mg Sreekumar and M. G. Sreekumar. The movie is written and directed by Santhosh Souparnika. MG Sound & Frames Release acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Ardhanaari was released on 23rd November 2012. Cinematography was done by Hemachandran and editing by Abhilash Viswanath. The music was composed by Mg Sreekumar along with M. G. Sreekumar, Rajeev Alunkal, V Madhusoodanan Nair and Pazhayidam Somarajan.
