Li Yuanni and her husband Fang Daqiang experience a tragic earthquake that separates their family, with their daughter Fang Deng being adopted and renamed Wang Deng, while Fang Da remains in Tangshan, leading to separate journeys of love, success, and eventual reconciliation. Aftershock is a 2010 Chinese Mandarin-language Drama film featuring Wendy Zhang, Zhang Jingchu, Li Chen, Xu Fan, Zhang Guoqiang, Chen Daoming and Goya Robles. The movie is based on Aftershock by Zhang Ling. Aftershock was Produced by Chen Kuo-fu, Zhang Dajun, Albert Lee and James Wang. The movie is directed by Feng Xiaogang. Huayi Brothers acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Aftershock was released on 21st July 2010 and takes a screen time of 135 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Aftershock was made on a budget of $25 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of ¥665 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Su Xiaowei. Cinematography was done by L Yue and editing by Xiao Yang. The music was composed by Wang Liguang.
