Shaolin

A warlord seeks repentance at a Shaolin Temple but must defend it when his former deputy plans to kill refugees and destroy the temple. Shaolin is a 2011 Mandarin-language Action Drama motion picture starring Andy Lau, Nicholas Tse, Jackie Chan, Fan Bingbing, Wu Jing, Xing Yu and Ahmet Kucuk. Emperor Motion Pictures in association with China Film Group , Huayi Brothers Media Corporation , Beijing Silver Moon Productions Ltd. and China Songshan Shaolin Temple Culture Communication Center. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Benny Chan and Albert Lee. The movie is directed by Benny Chan. Emperor Motion Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Shaolin was released on 20th January 2011 and takes a screen time of 131 minutes. The motion picture made a box office gross of $33 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Charcoal Tan, Cheung Chi-kwong, Chan Kam-cheong and Wang Qiuyu. Cinematography was done by Anthony Pun and editing by Yau Chi-wai. The music was composed by Nicolas Err Ra along with Anthony Chue.
