Aami is a biographical film that explores the life of Madhavikutty, a renowned writer who achieved great success in her life, including her childhood, family life, marriage, and her conversion to Islam in later years. Aami is a 2018 Indian Malayalam-language Biography Drama motion picture starring Manju Warrier, Murali Gopy, Tovino Thomas, Anoop Menon, Anand Bal, Nithin Renji Panicker and Althaf Manaf. Reel & Real Cinema was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Raphael Thomas Pozholiparambil. The motion picture is written and directed by Kamal. Central Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Aami was released on 9th February 2018. Aami was made on a budget of ₹3 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹2 crore. Cinematography was done by Madhu Neelakandan and editing by A. Sreekar Prasad. The music was composed by Bijibal. At the 2019 South Filmfare Awards It won an award for Best Actress (Manju Warrier).
