A famous stunt master seeks help from his old student to earn money for his daughters wedding, and his former favorite student impresses the lead actress and becomes the new hero of the film industry after taking revenge on his fathers killer. Hero is a 2012 Indian Malayalam-language Action Drama motion picture featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran, Yami Gautam, Anoop Menon, Bala Kumar, Thalaivasal Vijay, Kottayam Nazir and Malvika Menon. Seven Arts International was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) G.p. Vijayakumar. Hero is written by Vinod Guruvayoor and Vinod Guruvayur and it is directed by Deepan and Diphan. Seven Arts International Release acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Hero was released on 19th April 2016 and takes a screen time of 163 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Hero was made on a budget of ₹23 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹44 crore. Cinematography was done by Bharani K. Dharan and editing by Samjith Muhammad. The music was composed by National Award winner Gopi Sundar.
