Two characters, James and Danielle, face difficult circumstances in different parts of the world but are connected by a memorable Christmas encounter in France, which intensifies their longing for each other as they endure hardships and struggle to be reunited. Submergence is a 2017 English-language Drama Romance motion picture starring Alicia Vikander, James Mcavoy, Alexander Siddig, Jannik Schümann, Reda Kateb, Jess Liaudin and Emanuel Felix. Backup Films in association with Lila 9th Productions, Morena Films and Waterstone Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Cameron Lamb. The movie is directed by Wim Wenders. Mars Distribution acquired the distribution rights for the film. Submergence was released on 13th April 2018. Submergence was made on a budget of €15 million and at the box office it grossed only $0 million. The music was composed by Fernando Velázquez along with Fernando Velazquez.
