Captain Ejnar Mikkelsen leads an expedition in East Greenland to retrieve records, finds evidence disproving a channel, survives two winters, and ultimately leads to American recognition of Greenland as a Danish territory, while forming a lifelong friendship with his inexperienced engineer Iver Iversen. Against the Ice is a 2022 English-language Adventure Drama film starring Nikolaj Coster-waldau, Joe Cole, Charles Dance, Heida Reed, Þorsteinn Bachmann, Lin Gallagher and Guðmundur Karl Sigurdórsson. The movie is inspired from Two Against the Ice by Ejnar Mikkelsen. Against the Ice was Produced by Baltasar Korm Kur. The movie is directed by Peter Flinth. Netflix acquired the distribution rights for the film. Against the Ice was released on 2nd March 2022. The motion picture made a box office gross of $0 million.
