Sujatha, a news reporter, interviews Ravi, a convicted murderer, and covers his story despite his rejected appeal, receiving praise from her boss; Ravi, a wealthy man who owns an advertising agency, meets and proposes to Sujathas sister Kala, but their marriage becomes strained leading to divorce and ultimately Ravi confesses to Sujatha the truth about Kalas divorce and murder, seeking revenge on the blackmailer. Satya Jyothi is a 1986 Indian Kannada-language Drama movie starring Urvashi, Jai Jagadish, Balkrishna, Vishnuvardhan Kumar, Jai Jagdeesh and Sumalatha Ambarish. Jubilee Productions and Sathya Jyothi Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Joy Thomas Shakthikulangara, Joy Thomas, and G.thyagarajan. The movie is directed by K. Rangaraj. Jubilee Productions acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Satya Jyothi was released on 11th May 1986. Cinematography was done by Dinesh Baboo. The music was composed by National Award winner Ilaiyaraaja.
